Dear Friends:
We hope this email finds you and your family in good health. Thank you for entrusting Smiles International with your dental health care needs. We want to take this opportunity share the above video to make you aware of the precautions our office is taking to ensure the safety of our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Gary Kaihara, Dr. Benjamin Watkins, and Dr. Dan Pinto of Smiles International are committed to earning your trust. Caring for you drives our patient-first approach to dentistry in D.C. and McLean. Our facilities and our approach to each procedure are designed for you and your family’s lifetime of dental health, including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry and prosthetic tooth replacement with implant teeth, dentures, partials and dental bridges. Our cosmetic dental care renovates your smile with solutions for chipped teeth, crooked teeth and discolored teeth, including veneers, teeth whitening and other techniques.
Infection control has always been a top priority at Smiles International and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our internal safety processes are reliable and can give you the confidence to return. We are excited to serve all our Smiles International patients again.
Our office has always followed infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are current on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
We made additional changes due to Covid-19 to reopen our offices safely, protect our patients, and team members.
Recent feedback from Patients
"I felt perfectly safe while at the office. They interview each patient, take temp, oxygen saturation, blood pressure. Everyone was wearing a mask, and they have air filtration machines in each room. Everything is cleaned between patients, and they stagger appointments so there are not a lot of patients there at the same time. I believe one would be safer there than at a grocery store. Make an appointment as oral care is important to keep us all healthy."
- Laura A."Just wanted to comment on how comfortable I felt visiting Dr. Watkins for a dental appointment during these days of Covid-19. Upon entering the office I was asked to sanitize my hands before having my temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc. checked. In addition, all office staff were masked throughout the appointment. Dr. Watkins was extremely courteous, friendly, and professional, as usual, and through their extensive and thorough precautions, he and his staff eliminated any concerns I might have had about possible exposure to the virus."
